Zoom cannot be installed on my Linux/ Ubuntu laptop. Hi its been a terminal failure over months and hours trying to install Zoom on my Ubuntu laptop. Trying to install zoom using native ubuntu/ debian is a total fail downloads via the browser timeout about 10% into the download (6 attempts). Via ubuntu apps, thats a fail also. I tried to install via Wine (Windows for Ubuntu) that successfully installed, but then took an hour on top of the brand new download to try and other update. After that the software had made it impossible to Sign In, the blue button was greyed out. After some to-ing and fro-ing I eventually Signed In, but then the entire thing crashed! Please update all your Ubuntu install procedures and the windows ones also fail! Cannot successfully install via ubuntu, cannot login via windows version (Wine on Ubuntu)
I used to be able to start an ad hoc meeting immediately off this page. I see the Start Meeting button on the dashboard page and it allows me to use my ID, etc. but the button does nothing.There are other more cumbersome ways to start the meeting but I'd like to fix this one. Zoom also logs me out between uses and I have to login manually each time. Maybe all of this is related somehow. Zoom does seem to be suffering from bloat. Mac Sequoia, Zoom 6.2.5

This way, each of us can have separate extensions listed on our business cardsTo make this more visual:External caller calls Zoom phone number -> Auto receptionist responds and says "Dial 1 for Person A or Dial 2 for Person B" -> Externall caller dials 1 and call gets routed to my cell phone number (NOT the Zoom mobile app)Question: Besides the charge from my cell provider, will Zoom also charge me (either through a single fee or metering) for that call forwarding service? If yes, what is the fee and where can I read more about it?

I have several meetings that I want to record and share access to at points throughout the year, but once a meeting is recorded to the cloud, how long is this recording kept on the cloud before it is automatically deleted? I've searched and can find no details, Delete cloud recordings and transcripts after a specific number of days is not active in the settings, but there must be a 'max' amount of time they are kept?
On my company's plan, I have a user who very rarely uses her number and would only occasionally get inbound calls. I want to forward her phone to her cell, however when I try, I notice it says "I acknowledge that calls forwarded to the PSTN may be billed based on usage, per the terms of my calling plan". I'm not privy of which tier of plan the org has, but we have a toll free number, a decent number of users, etc. I tried reaching out to customer support to get clarification on this, but the slow responses are as clear as mud. I'm just trying to find out if there's a fee for forwarding, how much is it? I get my own calls forwarded occasionally when I am not at my desk to receive them, however they don't last more than 1-2 minutes. When I set up my own call forwarding 2 years ago, I don't believe I saw this same verbiage on it. I definitely would have thought twice. I prefer the older version, the one without all the icons at the bottom of the screen which shift around and are hard to press if you have a screen protector on your iPad, but what is even more annoying is zoom keeps reverting back and forth from old to new. Maybe it depends on whose zoom I am in. Maybe it has something to do with the tides. Who knows? One time I ran a friend's zoom for him, typing in his host key, and when I tried to start up my own zoom I had to get my own host key. Upon doing that, it switched to the old format, which was nice. What gives? Any way to have the old format all the time? Any way to stop the switching nonsense?
Hi, how can I improve I would like to upload zoom recordings to a youtube channel, but as we know the quality is reduced in zoom. I only want to record myself.I have a paid version of zoom, I have selected HD, I use a logitec brio 4k, so how can I get 1080p? All of the switches work except for one, which is vital. Hi,in Zoom contact center flow editor, how do you play digits back? For instance, you use the collectInput widget to collect digits from customer, store digits in a variable, then you want to play the digits back to customer.
What are the prerequisites for SSO configuration? I found information in the account section and it mentions I need a minimum of 10 host licenses. Is what I found accurate? So all I would need is a business plan and only 10 hosts licenses? Would large meeting or webinars licenses differ?
I can't seem to find and use the Read sidebar for the Zoom app in Windows. It does appear in the macOS version of the app. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?

We use NetSuite's built in telephony system in combination with Zoom's click to dial functionality. We have been using zoomphonecall://{phone} without issue for years. As of today, it's no longer functioning. Nothing happens when clicking the phone number link. After going over Zoom's developer documentation, I've tried various forms of the URI scheme. Only one I could get to directly dial is "zoomphonecall://+1234567890? ", in which case it of course only dialed 1234567890. Not very helpful. If anyone has any additional information, I would appreciate it.
I have saved many whiteboards but they are automatically saved as View only. When I open them back up again, I want to edit them but unable to do so. Is there anyway I can change the settings to allow me to do so?
Hi everyone,A client of mine would like to use the Closed Caption setting to save a copy of the meeting transcript. Due to the nature of their business, they will not be recording the meetings, they only want a transcript for reference. We need to know if Zoom retains a copy of transcripts that were created using the closed captioning function when meetings were NOT recorded. Does anyone know the answer to this?? Thanks in advance!
On a regular basis the video pauses for a second or is delayed. I also get a message that my internet connection is "unstable". Any ideas? I've had Spectrum come out and they say the internet connection is ok. They even gave me a new modem.
Can the team please look at the log in page. Every time a user is typing their username, the cookies box pops up and interrupts the input. It is extremely frustrating.
I don't know why I am not getting transcripts. I have recordings, I get the email with the link for that, but I never get the email to access to VTT file, nor do I see any VTT files with my recordings. What am I missing?

Hi Team, I am looking for some support around an issue that I am facing - recently I downloaded the latest version of zoom on my MAC laptop and from thereon I am seeing a strange behavior, let me explain the scenario step by step :- Step 1 : I am in a group meeting and the zoom host put a spotlight on me. Step 2: The host then put a spotlight on one more person. Lets say Person 2. Step 3: Now I am in the speaker view on my zoom and I see myself and Person 2 in spotlight and it appears "vertical" in my laptop, I see myself at the top and Person 2 is at the bottom. Step 4 : However, previously under this same situation (as mentioned from Step 1-3), I was able to see myself and Person2 in a side by side view when spotlighted. I want the old view back where I can see myself and the Person2 in a side by side view. What is the setting I am missing? How can I go back to my old view since it's imp for my meetings.
How do I transcribe a PowerPoint with slides or images using a Zoom recording?
Recent versions (currently running 6.1.1) of the Zoom application (both .deb and .rpm packages) took over window decorations. Specifically, they took over the window title bar and its pop-up menus. It is a problem with the main window, as without special shortcuts, one has no place to grab and move the window using a mouse or trackpad. It is a problem both in the main and meeting windows, as I no longer have access to the window manager's functions, like "Always on top," which are especially handy for the meeting windows. Interfering with standard environment features that users are accustomed to is not a winning strategy and is a questionable interface decision. May it be that I missed how to re-enable the old interface? Currently on Fedora 40, Wayland, Gnome 46.
