Hello, I'm using the Zoom API to integrate it into our eLearning website. From there, I create a meeting [users/{$hostEmail}/meetings] with the following options:'host_video' => true,'participant_video' => false,'join_before_host' => false,'mute_upon_entry' => true,'auto_recording' => 'cloud','waiting_room' => false,'approval_type' => 2,'meeting_authentication' => trueThen, from the API, I also create the student accounts [/users] with the option: 'action' => "autoCreate"I retrieve the start_url for the teacher from the class creation process, and the teacher connects directly from that URL. I'm retrieving the join_url for the student connection, but it always asks for a username and password. How can I bypass the login screen and have the student join the meeting directly?I've tried creating a ZAK for the student and passing it to the join_url, I've tried using a user token, I've tried accessing with ?tk=;I've also tried using the client-side web SDK by creat
Hi there, after trying franticly whilst trying to undertake a careers meeting with students and parents, I can't find how to share my screen with them. I have set up these links (reoccurring) and the students can share their screen with me, but I don't even have access to it on my screen. Please help! Many thanks, Lili
Hi I am using zoom to give an english class to one student. Both of us are using free plan so we have 40 minutes time limit. So I was wondering when does the 40 minutes time limit start? I usually open the zoom meeting like 5 minutes prior before the student enters the meeting. Does the time limit start based on when I opened the meeting or when the participant enters the meeting? I am really curious about it but it's so hard to find exact detailed explanation on this issue. Thank you
I recently bought a new computer that is an HP Omnibook 5. Computer is an upgrade in every area compared to my old one. Internet works perfectly fine everywhere including Teams meetings with 10 participants. If I'm in a Zoom with any amount of people I get a 10-20 second lag once every 3-5 minutes or so and the your internet is unstable message. Everything was working fine on my old computer so I believe it is something to do with my new computer. This has happened 10 out of the last 10 meetings. I have tried testing my internet a few different ways and everything there seems to be working fine getting 500mb down and 150 mb upload. I have uninstalled zoom and reinstalled. Any help or next steps is appreciated. Thank you!
I am on Windows 11 Home, Dell Inspiron 7506 2n1, wired to an external monitor with built-in speakers. I have been using Zoom successfully with this setup for roughly two years. In my last two meetings, one group and the other one-on-one, the audio has dropped out 20 minutes or more into the meeting. Other participants remain able to hear me, however, I cannot hear them. I have completed a pretty thorough search online, but have not found a solution. Any help as to how to prevent the audio dropping would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
When we start our Zoom Rooms app on a Mac mini connected to a large-format (maybe 90-inch) Samsung display, we notice that the MacOS dock gets much larger just before the Room Name, Sharing Key and time appear on the screen. We think the Mac screen resolution is being downscaled, which results in lower-resolution profile pictures and less-than-1080 HD (we have that option on our account) resolution on our meetings and shared screens. Has anyone been able to force Zoom Rooms to keep the native high-resolutions that we seen when we are looking at the Mac desktop on the same screen? Any ideas please?
Attendee logs are retained for 15 months per Getting started with Zoom reporting How can we change this retention period? I don't see any knowledge articles explaining how the retention period can be reduced from 15 months to say, 180 days.
I recently paired my new Airpods Pro with my PC, and it is the default speaker/microphone. When I am in a Zoom meeting, I do not hear anything (nor can anyone hear my mic), even when the Zoom settings show I am connected to my Airpods. Volume is up everywhere. I have manually changed the mic/headphones within Zoom setting. I test speaker and microphone and no sound comes through my airpods This is ONLY a Zoom issue (no trouble hearing any other audio on my PC) and it's not happening with the Zoom app on my phone.
Hello, ProblemI'm using my Airpods Pro 2 to take Zoom calls on my PC running Windows 11. Despite keeping the volume to 100%, I can barely hear what the others are saying only in a Zoom call. When I'm playing audio via Spotify windows app, or Youtube via browser, 20% volume is sufficient to provide that clarity. When I keep Spotify playing on the side with say 30% volume and open Zoom settings -> Audio, there is a pause in the playback and then the audio playing via Spotify becomes barely audible. The loudness drops drastically (despite keeping 100% volume) only on Zoom calls or Zoom audio settings. 100% volume on Zoom feels like 20% or less in other apps. The mic output seems fine though. I'm noticing a similar issue with my older Airpods Pro gen 1 headphones as well. As a Japanese administrator using the Pro version of Zoom on Windows 11, I'm trying to utilize the AI companion feature. However, the side panel, including buttons like "Catch me up," is displaying in English. Despite having set all language options, including those in the taskbar and app settings, to Japanese, the side panel remains in English. Could you please advise on how to switch the display language to Japanese?
I've had my pronouns (She/Her/Hers) saved in my profile for months, but AI Companion is still misgendering me to 'he/his' in all of the meeting summaries. How do I get it to pick up my correct pronouns?
From my searching I gather the answer is no, but is there any setting where I can ensure that meeting summaries from AI Companion are with English spelling, instead of American English? It adds to necessary editing time of the summaries when I need to change all of the incorrect spelling.
I have enabled Zoom AI Companion as the owner of our account. I would like to only allow this add-in for one user to test before we offer it house wide. How do I select which user's can have this option enabled to start?
I'm not sure what I did but for the last few weeks every time I am on Zoom, a voiceover announces when each guest in the meeting is sharing their screen, or has entered and left the meeting. I searched for how to remove AI companion in Zoom and followed the steps but my account showed that it was never enabled..???Is there another reason why my Zoom is announcing everything that happens in the meeting? It's embarrassing and I don't want to have to switch to another meeting provider but it's coming off as unprofessional. Also, when posting this in the Zoom Community, your topic fields have not been updated to include AI companion in case you want to troubleshoot issues that arise with that.
I noticed that when "auto_start_meeting_summary" is set to false, the recording is not started.transcript_completed webhook event doesn't get fired. And I don't see my transcript in the UI under Recordings and Transcripts > Transcript. Is this intended? I can get transcripts via the api https://api.zoom.us/v2/meetings/{meeting_id}/recordings. Why is it that not enabling a meeting summary prevents a transcript event from firing?
Installed the updated Zoom for Lightning (Salesforce Managed package) 2.16 but every user is getting prompted to connect Error: "To be able to use the Zoom Phone integration please complete the OAuth in Zoom Phone Settings" When I click that link, it takes you to a "Zoom Phone Settings" page that only admins have access to. I clicked "Authorize from Zoom App Marketplace" and logged into Zoom with my SSO. All looks good for me and I can use the CTI adaptor in Salesforce.Issue is that every user is getting this error and are getting redirected to an admin only page in Salesforce. I have uninstalled (deleted everything) and reinstalled the Zoom package multiple times with the same issue. We didn't have an issue with Zooms 2023 SF package or previous versions.
If you are having a pre-meeting call with a colleague and you switch the AI feature on (lets say to help with transcripts), it then caches all speech from them on. Any new joiners to the call get to see everything you have discussed. We tested it this morning with colleagues joining and leaving and new joiners were able to get a precis of everything that was said for the previous ten minutes before they joined. Are you aware of ways to avoid this (aside from not activating the AI feature)?Thank you
Hello I’m reaching out regarding a technical issue we encountered during a recent webinar hosted by our company, and I’m hoping to get some assistance in resolving it for future sessions. Here’s a summary of the issue:Whenever our executive, who served as the webinar host, unmuted themselves to speak, participants experienced significant feedback and echo. This occurred even though all participants were muted during the session. The webinar host did not personally experience any feedback or echo on their end while speaking. The host was using a laptop with built-in speakers and a built-in microphone in a private office environment.Given that participants were muted, we’re unsure what might have caused the feedback. Please help in diagnosing and resolving this issue to ensure a smooth experience for all attendees in the future. I've looked at other articles on audio feedback resulting from a second device picking up sound but per the webinar host this wasn't the issue.
I use Zoom AI all the time. I was showing a new employee this feature and opened our just completed meeting summary to show it to her. It was complete and detailed. She was impressed. I went back later today to access it and it says "A summary was not generated due to insufficient transcript.". WTW?
When I recorded a meeting to the cloud, it will generate the summary and next step based on the meeting content, but I found the next step is incorrect for one meeting. I didn’t say anything in one recording, but it show several next step. And the second case is that there is no full stop in the next step, and usually they have the full stop.
This is the THIRD time I have disabled it globally only to find that Zoom has re-enabled it. This is apparently happening to many of my colleagues based on some recent threads in our Discord board. Can someone explain to me how I can permanently and forever ban Zoom AI from being re-enabled? Thanks.
Why is Zoom now enabling AI Companion without user permission???? This is an invasion of privacy and should be illegal. Some people do not want text recordings of meeting summaries, and now you are just creating them without permission. This should be an "opt-in," NOT a DEFAULT setting.
We are looking for an option to be able to print or save SMS conversations with clients to put in their files. Right now we can highlight the conversation and then copy/paste it, but it loses formatting and is difficult to follow without lots of editing.
