I have a polycom phone that I am unable to configure with Zoom so that it can make outbound calls, inbound calls and communicate with other polycom phones in my office in the same network. Model of Polycom phone is VVX300
The ringtone choices are terrible. We have the Yealink MP56 and wondering how I can upload a custom ringtone so I can just get a normal sounding phone ring.
Hello everyone! I'm dealing with a Poly Edge e350 hosted trough zoom that I have to make the path to transfer an active call direct to the voicemail shorter. At the time I have to hit "More>more>T2VM>[extension]>transfer". And I would like to have it on my first options or maybe replace the function of one of the default buttons, like the one to access the messages and put it doing this function.I also know that transfer the call to **[extension] would work, but when you hit the * twice it will give you the + signal. What would make you have to wait like 2 secs to hit the * again. It can look silly but when you are all day doing the same thing you see it's going to help a lot.I was able to access the configuration file and change the order a little bit, by replacing the position from the "Park" option for the "T2VM" so I am one step closer.Does someone know a way to deal with this?My current software version from the phone is Current software version is 8.1.2.1
Hi, I'm unable to connect my zoom app with the Phone to the exchange calendar. Please see screenshot attached for reference. Upon entering the EWS URL, I get an error message which says: The request failed. The remote server returned an error: (401) Unatuhorized. If your Exchange server is undiscoverable from the internet, you can also input your calendar resource (your email address) to sync up your calendar. FYI:Device Type - iphoneZoom- Phone app Error code: 401 Best regards,P
Hello,We recently moved over to Zoom phone from Mitel. We have a door call box that we use for security to unlock the door to allow access. Worked great on the Mitel. I'm looking for instructions on settng this up on zoom phone as a generic SIP device. All I am able to find is a generic SIP H.323 zoom room instructions. If anyone knows of instructions for something like this, please let me know. I did not try the zoom room instructions as it seems to require some type of cloud room connector license.
I work in a medium sized office (roughly 40 staff) and have an issue with clients calling back and not knowing who initially called them. The sequence is as follows:* Office staff member calls client* Client does not answer* Office staff member either leaves a voicemail and the client just blindly rings back OR doesn't have a voicemail set up* Client calls back, goes through our auto-receptionist but doesn't know who initially called them* Office staff member that takes the call back shrugs their shoulders and tells client 'they will try you again if they need you'* Cue the client getting annoyed - and rightfully so! Is there a way to identify who previously called a specific number so the staff member taking the client call back can say "I see Staff Member X tried to call you previously - please hold while I transfer you over" ?? We currently use a Microsoft Teams chat but it really doesn't work effectively in managing the process. Thanks in advance!!
When porting a small number of DIDs to Zoom Phone, new extension numbers were auto-assigned. How does one reassign those extensions back to the actual extension number. Ex. 816.607.5431 was ported and while the DID is valid and usable, a new 5-digit extension was auto-assigned. How can it be changed back to x5431?
Hi, I am having trouble with getting incoming and outgoing phone calls to work. Incoming calls are automatically responded to by the auto-receptionist stating, "There is no one available to take your call. Please leave a voicemail." I'm not sure if I have set something up incorrectly, but I have scoured over everything and still can't find answers. Any help would be SO SO appreciated.
I understand that at ZoomPhone, I have to pay when I purchase a paid call slot,Will I have to pay again when I get the phone number?I am wondering if I can get a phone number at any point in time and not lose money.I am wondering if there is any difference between "I will not assign a ZoomPhone to an employee until 2 months from now, but I only need to get a phone number now" or "I will get a phone number right before I assign a ZoomPhone to an employee."Are the charges the same for both?Thank you in advance.
My Zoom Phone line is forwarded to my personal cell. Is there a way to make the screen say for example: 'work call' or possibly make the Zoom calls have a different ringtone? thank you
Hi All, I'm trying to create an API Call to export a list of all our zoom devices. I've download a API call from zoom that pulls phones but only phones. I'm looking for the full list of devices we have. the url it's using is: "/phone/devices?type=assigned&page_size=600" the url has phone after baseurl which is why i assume i'm just getting phones but i can't for the life of me figure out what i need to replace this with to get all devices. Has anyone had any success with something like this before? Many Thanks
The new version of AudioCodes LiveCloud with Zoom provider exchange now accelerates every Service provider, Zoom Reseller, Channel, and MSP to do its own ‘Bring Your Own Trunk' (BYOC/BYOT), including local trunks to the Zoom Phone space. Can you please help? I am not able to make outgoing calls or texts. My mobile device (android, Verizon) is locked on the history screen, not allowing to scroll to the other phone screens (dial numbers to call out, voicemail, or SMS). I am able to receive calles but can't move to the other screens to dial or text. I have uninstalled, reinstalled Zoom app but it hasn't changed access. It's like it's locked on that one spot. I can refresh but that is it. I can't redial a number that is already in history or
Is this possible to add the main line as an option for the users without adding them to the main number call queue? I want to keep it simple for them and not have to worry about them turning the queue on in their settings and getting flooded with calls. We have Zoom enterprise account (around 100 users) and the users have Zoom Phone license, obviously. Thank you,Todd
Hello, I am getting a service error code: 4301804 and cannot make calls on my Zoom app. Does anyone know what the problem is? I am on the latest version on iOS 5.16.0. - I am a licensed user still - I have internet connection
Is there a way on zoom app on a mac/pc to auto answer a phone call? I am trying to setup a system where people can call into a number and it will auto answer and they can hear the audio feed that is being fed to that computer. Use case is if the legal team wants to listen in on a meeting; the room audio will be fed to the computer and when they call in they auto connect and hear the room. We don't want the phone ringing and distracting anyone, nor we want the phone call to go un answered. Everyone in the room will be aware that there may or may not be people on the phone line. Would be even better if it would auto conference multiple callers if more then one member wanted to call in.
We are a nonprofit that serves multiple programs. Each program is completely unique from the others and do not need to interact. I'm splitting contacts into sites based on program. Is there a way to restrict Company Contacts to just those inside a user's site? It's not necessary for them to have the full list, and some individuals are more sensitive about how many people know their contact information.
I'm noticing that I have about a month's worth of old Holiday List & Call Handling events. Are these old, expired entries eventually removed automatically, and if so, on what timing? I'm asking because I'm using the API to display this as a call coverage schedule, and also to control access to updating that schedule. I'm trying to decide if I just filter the list by date, delete old entries to clean up the list, or some combination of both. Knowing the behavior will help the decision. Thanks in advance!Steve Speck
We have a multi-site Zoom Phone account currently. I want a user in Zoom Site A to be able to dial Zoom Site B through a speed dial like *0111 (on net) and translate it to Zoom Site B's call queue. The reason is that we are moving from a different vendor platform to Zoom and that's how each site is familiar with calling internally from site to site. We still have some sites on the old platform, and I've already set this feature up through Routing Rules to route those calls through the PSTN, but am hoping that I can route the speed dial calls to Zoom locations internally through Zoom.
Just setup Zoom phone. I was assigned a default phone number and ported over my own local phone number. I only need the phone number that ported over and do not require the default phone number that was initially assigned. One individual at Zoom told me that I do not need the additional phone number license and another agent told me I do. So am I able to cancel the default number ? Do I need the additional license?
We need to get new desk phones as the ones we have now are at the EOL. We just need a basic desk phone that we can use to make and receive calls, place people on hold, and transfer calls to others in our Zoom phone system. We don't need the latest and greatest, but we need something that will last as new upgrades with Zoom happen. We don't want to buy phones and then have to rebuy them a year from now due to EOL. Looking for low-cost suggestions for our nonprofit. Thanks for any and all help!
Hi, ever since our Zoom Phone Appliances got updated to 5.16.0 the incoming call notification is now a small popup, instead of displaying in full screen like it used to. Current notification. Especially in the second photo (a Poly CXX 400) details are missing from call, like actual caller ID number (something we like to see a lot) Does anyone know how to get it back to the old full screen notification? RegardsDamien
This is going to be a pretty niche issue. So lately, users in my company have been having an issue where if they call some one or receive a call, they can hear the other person but the other person cant hear them, most likely the mic not connecting. Our setup is using Wyse 5070 Thinclients to RDP into vms, each vm is specific to one user. The biggest problem with this issue is that its intermittent and cant be recreated, it just happens randomly so its hard to troubleshoot. And apparently after today, we found out its not creating any event logs even though when the issue occurs, if you try to open the sound settings on windows, the settings app freezes and then you get kicked out of your vm. I have posted the same problem on Dell forums and VMware forums and awaiting more solutions, BUT, in the dell forum, a user told me to update the thinclients BIOS, thinOS, microsoft AVD, and zoom AVD package. (which is what I assume is the plugin). After doing so, the issue occured for my cow
I have turned on Call Control on the Zoom Portal, but the phone (Poly Edge E320) doesn't seem to work. I clicked on the Zoom app, went to the settings - Phone and Call Control, and clicked on the Poly Edge E20, but it timed out. Has anyone run into this issue?
