I love the ability to save a transcription of my Zoom meetings, however I don't need a timestamp every 12 seconds. I rather have no timestamp at all, or one at the beginning and end of the meeting. Is there a way to deselect the timestamp on live transcription before I save it? At the moment, I am editing them out of the final document which is a fair bit of editing on an hour long meeting. thanks for your help!
I started using the auto call feature has been a great addition and I have been using it for a month or so. For some reason though it seems to have got a bit bugged out as of this week. It has started calling me repeatedly after a meeting has started. Sometimes it is 15 minutes, but it has also been up to an hour later. This happens for both meeting auto calls that I decline (because for example I was optional and now don't have time to attend), but also for meetings I have been in that ended early. It happens for both meetings I host, and also ones in which I am invited. Sometimes I get multiple calls and others I do not. The calls do not happen when I am actively in the call (but will call about other meetings when I am in a call), or once the call has past it's scheduled end time. I updated this morning to 6.5.12 for Windows but this issue still occurred. Any one else having this issue, or have any recommendations on fixes?
Bought a new laptop recently, and everything is great except in the video mode, I have a permanent blue screen virtual background that I can't get rid of. I have an older MacBook Air upstairs that has no problem with Virtual Backgrounds .... but the newer one that I am using as a desktop replacement has this quirk. Haven't quite figure out why this is happening ... and how to get to a normal (real) background. There have been no error codes so far, and I am using the most current version of Zoom Workplace as of today September 6, 2025.Would appreciate advice as how to remedy this situation. Thanks! David M
I suggest adding a new optional meeting setting for hosts: “Allow participants to unmute only when their hand is raised.”Purpose:In long meetings, participants often unmute accidentally (by shortcut or misclick), which interrupts the speaker with background noise. With this setting enabled, participants would only be able to unmute after clicking “Raise Hand.”Benefits:Reduces accidental microphone activations.Keeps focus on the speaker during large or long sessions.Gives hosts better control over meeting flow.
Using external webcams on iPadOS17 is now supported. It works for Facetime. But I have not been able to get an external webcam working on my iPad for Zoom calls, despite having updated my iPad to iPadOS17. Are there settings to make this work, or perhaps use of external webcams on an iPad is not yet supported by Zoom?
I use multiple Virtual Backgrounds and frequently need to change them in the middle of a meeting (I use the background to illustrate points in class). I am currently going into Settings/Video and manually changing the background. But I have so many, I often can't find the one I want. How can I put them in order? I want students to see me and the slide at the same time.
After attempting to start a meeting I log in, enter the site then it starts rebooting and then freezes my camera and external mouse. I bought a new mouse thinking that the mouse I had wasn't linking up with my system. Problem still occurs.
Even though I have a fast connection Zoom is locking up in gallery view. All participant videos freeze for 10 seconds or more at a time.
It appears to me that every window on Windows remembers it's last location and size when the application is closed. Except Zoom Meetings. It opens this huge oblong box covering 2/3rds of my screen every. single. time. I move it to the side and and resize it to get my work done. Restart, boom, back to the center. I know, first world problems, but seriously, why can't Zoom perform like every other application? Yes, I've shift-closed, ctrl-closed, closed following any other article I could find that would give me a clue. (Don't get me started about the "X" in the upper right corner not closing an application. I'm seriously thinking this app is getting a kardashian complex (huge resource usage, always has to be the center of attention, can't believe everyone doesn't know who it is..)
I use Zoom for my yoga classes since many years without issues. Since about a month, I think since Zoom update to Workplace, I start my class sharing music from Spotify, as always, and using my Rode Wireless microphone. Suddenly, my mic disconnect and no more sounds are shared. When I try to unplug my mic or adjust the setting in Zoom, the whole app freezes and stop working. I have to start the meeting again and use my laptop microphone instead of my Rode microphone. Is there a solution to this issue??

A host option to limit chat messages (for example, one message every 3–5 seconds per participant) would keep discussions manageable in open meetings, seminars, and classrooms. The issue: In larger meetings, even one participant can send dozens of rapid messages, burying important instructions or questions and disrupting the flow. Existing features like passwords, waiting rooms, or private links help, but many sessions must remain open or semi-open.Proposed solution: A lightweight host control to set a chat rate limit. This would not restrict normal conversation but would prevent chat flooding.Benefits:- Keeps discussions readable.- Reduces disruption in open or classroom settings.- Easy to implement as a host control.- Saves hosts and participants from unnecessary stress.Environment:Device type: MacBook Pro (Apple Silicon)Zoom version: Workplace for Mac 6.5.12 (63499)Troubleshooting: Tried existing security settings; issue persists for open events.
Gracias
Hello, How can I switch off that zoom records faces of other people than me in group sessions? Thank you for your help!
When you sign in the "Stay signed in" checkbox is automatically checked by default. How can I change this so that is is NOT checked by default?
I have downloaded the windows version. When I tried to schedule a meeting the time format is in US mode. When I try to switch to the format I like, I am connected to myaccount page on the web. There the format is the preferred one.Using the settings on the windows app it directs me back to the zoom.us settings page. What can I do to have the same format in all platforms I am using my account? Thanks
I am forced to schedule my meetings, which I haven't done it so far. My students have my personal ID and password and I just clicked in meetings and started. Now, that option disappeared and I am forced to schedule the meeting with a calendar. Could you help me, please?
How can I enable 1024 HD video so my participants can see HD content? I can purchase the business version for testing
Hello, I work in Executive recruiting and I am scheduling meetings over Zoom for our clients & candidates to meet. I often times have several (5+) meetings at the same time or overlapping. I do not join these meetings. Is there any license or solution out there to schedule multiple meetings at the same time? We have the Business plus plan and everything I understand, there is nothing better we can purchase to allow this. Thanks!
I have been using Zoom to teach voice lessons online since Covid, and while there were sometimes some lag or freezing, I could always hear my students sing. Starting 2-3 months ago, the audio in Zoom became increasingly more problematic, and now doesn't work any more at all for singing. At present, I am only using Zoom for one student. We can hear each other speak, he can hear my keyboad, and he can hear when I sing to demonstrate, but I cannot hear him half the time. The sound cuts in and out. Why is this? Something obviously changed at Zoom. There has been no change to either of our computers. What changes did Zoom make to audio that created this problem?

Hi there! I’m trying to record a Zoom meeting or webinar to my computer (not a live session — just a local recording), and I need help with the layout settings.I’m using a layout where my silhouette (the cut-out of me without the background) is placed over my shared screen (I’m sharing Canva slides). I love this effect and want only that silhouette of me visible in the recording. However, when I watch the recording, I see:The silhouette of me (which is great)Plus a second box in the top right corner showing my webcam video with a white background (which I don’t want). Is there a way to only record the silhouette overlay and remove that extra video box from the final recording? Or do I have to crop it out myself?I’m not sure what the official Zoom term is for this kind of layout — maybe it’s called "immersive view", “avatar,” or some kind of “overlay” feature — so I’d really appreciate any clarification on that too. Thanks in advance!
I am using an Android Tablet. I have the requirement to share my screen and play an video (with audio) from a website. When I share my screen, I am choosing the option to Share Audio: ON. However, I am unable to hear the audio. Video is obviously visible. To troubleshoot, I played a clip from YouTube app - I am able to hear the sound and also see the video. However, when I open YouTube on a web browser - Chorme/ Edge, I am unable to hear the audio. I have checked all the permissions for Zoom, uninstalled and reinstalled the Zoom app, etc. Nothing seem to work. Could anyone help?
I need to stress first that I've never had issues with the sound on this speaker before. But now it seems like no matter what I do, if I try to go into a zoom meeting the volume is to the max. I have been googling how to fix this and literally nothing does. Let me tell you what I have tried so far: Went into setting and put the audio at almost all the way down. Tested the audio. Still blasting and way to high.Went into sound on my computer with the speaker. Put it down to 2. Tested the audio. Still freakishly loud.Went into sound mixer. Lowered just zoom this time. Tested it. Sound still louder than the music I listen to. And I listen to rock music. Went into setting on my computer. Went to the section where I can adjust for apps. Lowered zoom too what is suppose to be very low. Tested the audio. Still so loud I'm afraid my neighbors hear it and are getting annoyed with me and all
