Is this some sort of new bug? We've recently been getting frequent Update Required popups saying "Your app version needs to be higher to start this meeting. Please contact your IT team to update your app." I am the IT admin for my company so I have access to the Admin account to control our company's Zoom account. When I checked for updates on the Admin account the first time, there weren't any updates available. I restarted the PC and opened up Zoom Rooms, it worked again. Today we got the same popup error. When I checked the Admin account again there were still no updates available. I restarted Zoom Rooms (instead of the PC this time) and it started working fine again, there were no "Update Required" errors.  Is this some sort of new bug? Are there any fixes to this issue? We have our Zoom Room setup to update automatically to prevent our users from seeing any of this and causing any delays in their workday. Thanks in advance for any help. 

We are using Zoom with the CRC license + Enhanced API connector. Our conference rooms have Lifesize Icon 600 devices that have been added to Zoom as managed devices and configured as SIP/H.323 phones in Zoom. That all works fine. I have all the Office 365 calendar integrations setup on the Zoom side, and the calendars are associated with the provisioned conference room devices. I can also see the appointments showing up in the Zoom Portal GUI, when I click on "Calendar Events". The issue is that these events are not making it down to the physical Lifesize phone. When I activate the "Calendar" button on the Lifesize HD Phone, I expect to see today's events for that calendar. It is just blank. Has anyone run into something similar and have a solution? Thanks! Rich

However, when I previously opened a ticket with Zoom support, I was informed that it is not possible to control devices via HTTP requests within Zoom Room Controls. The only communication formats supported are UDP or TCP. When considering integration via TCP, I realized it would require creating a local broker for each client or utilizing a cloud broker. Here's a common situation:User in Zoom Room joins meeting from laptop and then room. Despite large "Do not Join from laptop" sign.Audio feedback chaos ensues.Zoom user goes to settings on Zoom controller and changes speaker. Room audio is now coming out of the projector instead of room speakers.User then changes microphone input. Room no has no functional microphone.User leaves the mess for the next confused user.This is a university so there are thousands of users. Training is not an option.I don't have local access to the room. It's a long drive.I'd love to be able to restrict audio devices from Room Profile page. I can select audio devices and fix it remotely, but I can't restrict choices remotely.

I'm struggling to work out how to reasonably control a Dalite projection screen using Room Controls and a Global Cache IP2CC.  The JSON examples for the IP2CC use a "position" key-value pair not documented elsewhere, and, according to the only provided example that makes even a vague attempt to explain it, then uses an "automatically generated 'power' method" to provide control.  That's also not documented anywhere I can find. The example code produces an "On" and an "Off" button for each declared contact closure "port".  That is far from ideal, as the projection screen's movements are triggered by instantaneous contact and are stopped automatically by a limit switch.  Further, when declared at the "port" level, as they are in the examples, these controls can not be hidden. We would very much like to be able to create our own methods for these operations, so that they can be individually hidden, controlled discretely, and triggered as part of a scene.&nbsp

Since a couple of weeks some of my students loose the audio when they enter the break out rooms. Before it has never been an issue and it does not apply for all students.They have no audio in the break out rooms and when returning to the main room their status in the bottom is on 'Connecting with audio...'. After a while some will have audio connection in the main room again, while others need to leave the meeting and rejoin again.Why is this happening and what can they do to solve this issue?

We have recently ended our paid licensing for Zoom Rooms. However, the Zoom Room devices (DTEN ON 55) still show Digital Signage content we previously used, and the portal won't allow us to turn it off, edit it, or delete the content. And since we're not a paid account anymore, we are having a hard time contacting support. Is there someone at Zoom listening that can help us?

We have multiple Scheduling Display Only rooms across three offices. Those rooms use an iPad as a Scheduling Only Display. Google Calendar is our calendar service. What we have discovered is that they are not automatically syncing with the iPads, in that we have to manually refresh on the iPad (by swiping down on the iPad) to have new meetings show up or to reflect when a meeting has been cancelled.When we do refresh manually the calendar on the iPad is the same as Google Calendar. So there's no issue with getting the correct data, it just never pulls the data to begin with. We've waiting over five minutes for newly creating or deleted events to show up and it never does. I'm an IT contractor so I tested with the same iPad signing into another client's Zoom instance as a Scheduling Only Display and events sync immediately so I know it's not a network or hardware issue. Hi there, I just tried to adjust the options for the waiting room to add a video there but once I enter "waiting room" in the settings it does not showcase any options to adjust the waiting room. Just shows a toggle to add or remove the waiting room. I am on the free plan maybe that's why this occurs - don't know.

My setup currently is Zoom Rooms with Google Meet interop enabled going through Polycom C60 Trio controllers. We can join these meetings in our Zoom rooms just fine but there is very little host control on the Poly C60s, specifically for user management. We can't manage waiting rooms and allow participants from the controllers. Is this expected behavior? Thanks!

Looking to get information on when/how a camera make/model will be Certified by Zoom. I'm particularly interested in the new AVer TR535N dual lens PTZ Pro AV camera. Zoom has certified a number of other AVer models, and I'm just looking to get a gauge or information on how they choose the models to certify, and how long that process may potentially take. I'm currently testing this model and would love to be able to create/recall presets from Zoom, which is currently unsupported on this model. Thanks

I'm getting a JSON configuration error once the JSON file is loaded. The Zoom software accepts the file with no errors but after 30 seconds the error message pops up " JSON Configuration error".   This file is to add 3 buttons onto the Zoom Panel interface. We need to send serial strings via IP to a Lightware device. This Lightware device sends the commands out of its com port to a TV mount com port to control a TV mount. Is there a reason that ZOOM does not have the feature to manage and create breakout rooms on a tablet? Tablets are so advanced these days that it would make sense to add this feature. I find it very annoying that I cannot manage breakout rooms, or even view the participants of the rooms when I am in a video conference on my tablet, and I have to switch to my desktop to perform these tasks.

I'm just back from Christmas break and haven't used Zoom in over 2 weeks. Today when I tried to join calls with my Sennheiser headphones, plugged directly into laptop  (which I've used most of 2024), the audio quality is really low and faint. Also, there's a hissing sound in the background, especially if no one's talking. There's nothing wrong with the headphones, as I'm able to use them listening Spotify and on Teams meetings.  I've played around with all of the audio settings and can't get anything to fix the issue. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the desktop app.
