I was wondering what some possible causes would be for Zoom Rooms desktops unpairing from a Zoom Room Controller? We have a client that has multiple Zoom Rooms, and occasionally their controller (on the Zoom Room app on an iPad) will get unpaired from the Zoom Rooms desktop app on a Windows 10 machine, without them doing anything to intentionally/manually unpair it. Whenever this happens, the only way that works to re-pair them is to get the Activation code for the room re-generated from the Zoom Rooms Admin Portal and to type that in on the iPad app. So I was wondering if there were a list of known causes for unpairings.  The workstation gets restarted every night, so it is unlikely that restarts, for example, would be the cause. Thanks,Alex

Looking to see if other users can confirm - we have been anxiously awaiting basic annotation parity between wired HDMI content and wireless content for Windows-based Zoom Rooms for years. According to the release notes for 5.16.5, this is now possible; however, we still are not given the option to annotate when sharing wired HDMI content from a ZR (Win10, v5.16.5). Looking for data points, whether similar or dissimilar!

Brand new zoom rooms setup here. Testing an ad hoc meeting by using the "Reserve" button on the display Neat Pad outside the room, there is no way to then cancel that instant meeting. We can only allow it to time out. We have a Logitech Tap IP controller and Windows 10 device connected to a television for meetings in our conference room. During these meetings some attendees that are viewed on the television show up as black boxes. If asked to reset their camera, their position in the meeting changes and sometimes another person's feed goes black. The attendee can see everything just fine on their end. We've updated all of our software and firmware on each device. The only thing I've noticed is that the Windows 10 device is running a 32-bit version of 5.16.5, rather than 64-bit. Would that be an issue?

This may have been answered already but I struggled to find it. If a Zoom Room is the host of a meeting and it clicks record it prompts if you would like to email the recording to an email address. If there is another Zoom Room in the same meeting and it is given host/co-host and it starts the recording it does not prompt for an email but just puts it in the cloud for Administrators to grab. Is there a way that Zoom Rooms that did not create the link are able to get that email pop up upon pressing the Record button?

I've got the controls working on the Zoom controller to turn the projector on and off manually, but I'm trying to create rules to turn the projector off after a meeting has concluded and I can't for the life of me get it to work. I would like to host a Zoom as one user on a Mac and put it into the "background" by Fast User Switching to a different user on the same Mac. Will this work reliably or will macOS 14 "pause" or otherwise fuss with the inactive user that hosted the conference? Yes, I know I could try it but I'm afraid that I would not discover all of the edge cases since I don't really know what Mac does when you switch users without logging out.  Thanks,Adrian

I am attempting to build a Macro within my Cisco Room Systems and am not sure how to get the information I need and hoping this community can help.We will be using Zoom with the Hybrid Calendar OBTP to join meetings.The issue I am facing is when joining a meeting, currently you must hitShow/Hide Non Video ParticipantsShow/ Hide Name LabelsManually enter the passcode from the invite. I would like to bake all of this in so that when a user joins the call, all of this happens suppressed and there is no extra user interaction on the system.Question:What are the DTMF commands for these items? All the articles I am finding do not have the first 2 on my list.

Good morning, all. I am producing a hybrid conference in January which will have five simultaneous workshop breakouts in Zoom Rooms. As part of these workshop presentations, I need to play pre-recorded videos that will need to begin at various times i.e. presenter in Zoom Room 3 needs their video to start right at the beginning of the session, presenter in Zoom Room 4 will have a quick live intro and then the video needs to start, etc. What have emerged as the best practices for this type of work? I've been looking into different solutions from having a separate computer logged into each Zoom Room to using share.zoom.us. Any help is greatly appreciated! -Michael

Hi All,  I am wondering if there is a setting that I am missing in Zoom Admin portal. I am trying to ensure that the camera is set to turn ON by default when joining a Zoom meetingin a Zoom Room. Right now, users have to manually turn the camera on when they start a meetingfrom the touch panel.

Hi Gang I am wondering if there is a way I can prevent specific users from seeing the whole company contact list Basically we are renting out some office space to another company and we want to use the work spaces feature so both companies can book a meeting room My problem is that I dont want to allow anyone not in our company to see our contact list (Legal dept request) . Is this possible???

We have some home users running personal zoom rooms. I've authorized their calendars in the Zoom portall.Having issues with one user: when the user logs into pair the room there is no calendar/room available for them to choose. We're running the latest Zoom rooms application on Windows 11. The controller is an android tablet running the latest zoom rooms controller. I've reauthorized their calendar multiple times.  Any ideas why this user's calendar isn't showing? 

Since the IOS 17 upgrade our zoom rooms controller for our lcd panels via Room controls doesnt display on the ipad. In the web ui they are still when launching the room but are missing from the ipads.  

Using Zoom Room with our new Logitech Rally Bar, and I noticed I cannot use the virtual backgrounds with the Rally Bar unless it is in BYOD mode. Is there any solution for this as I know older AV bars that allow for Virtual backgrounds?

Hello!  Just installed a zoom room with Rally Bar and Tap IP. I'm struggling with the best way to schedule a Zoom Room meeting. I have Exchange Room resource setup and can reserve the room and it shows up in the Tap IP. But i have to invite the conference room to a meeting with my personal ID for it to show up as a joinable meeting on the TAP IP. Ideally i want to schedule a meeting and reserve the zoom room using the Zoom Room account/ID, not my personal Meeting ID and do it all through Outlook.  Is this possible? I'm trying to make it easier for all my users who don't all have zoom accounts. But i want them to be able to have a zoom room meeting. Would appreciate the help!

Hello All,  We are trying to configure the Zoom Room digital signage for a User who would like 4 different Clocks to display the time for 4 different Time Zones. We have tried using an internal URL to link to a small website that have the clocks displayed. But we get an Error when trying to use (Websites that were outside of our network seem to work) The URL that we are using is the IP followed by the Port number. It isnt an HTTPS address so we arent sure if thats why. Any ideas or a better way of setting something like this up? App, widgets, etc.  Thanks. 

We are having an issue where in gallery mode everyone's video is fine, until someone speaks.  When someone speaks their box in the gallery view is just a grey box.  This only happens in the room where the zoom room is and all remote participants do not have this affect.  Exact description from the user at the time is below: I just did a test call with a couple of my colleagues and when the zoom meeting is set to “gallery” view one persons box is gray even though they have their video on, and sometimes when another person talks their box goes gray. When I changed the view to “thumbnail” view or “speaker” view there was no gray boxes so it only seems to be happening in gallery view.

Hello, We have Zoom rooms working with both Zoom and Teams with no issues.We're however having problems with meetings that are initiated from Google Meet. The Google Meet host, sends the Google Meet invitation to our Zoom Room calendar.  The Zoom Room then displays the Google Meet event with the "Join" button.Pressing the "Join" button causes meeting to appear to launch, but stays in the "Joining meeting.." and never joins the meeting.Alternatively, I can join the meeting by selecting the Google Meet icon in the Zoom Room (Tap controller) and enter the Google Meet meeting ID.  This allows me to join the meeting with no issues. As mentioned above, this is not a problem with either Zoom or Teams meetings. Could someone shed any light on this?

Hello,I was told Zoom Rooms USB whitelisting has been changed from VID/PID (usb unique identifiers) to USB friendly names. I can't find official document on how this works. For example, we have rooms that have BYOD functionality which involves switching cameras and USB audio away from the ZR PC, to user's laptop. So we typically re-name the USB devices (most vendors allow it) to something like Room Audio etc. It seems like that will not longer be possible, if we want Zoom to leave the DSPs to handle echo cancelation etc. Can someone clarify in detail? Hello, I want to use the zoomrooms.I only have an ipad mini1 . The controller needs ios 10.But my ipad mini1 can only  be upgraded to ios 9.3.6;  Could I hvae some ways to install the older version  on my ipad mini1? And  can the Android version of the controller be bound to an account like the iOS version?

I have a NeatPad as a controller in a Zoom room, and the join from a room has stopped functioning in my rooms with NeatPads as controllers, and the ultrasonic pairing control is no longer on the device. All my Zoom Rooms with Ipad controllers work fine with the ultrasonic pairing. Anyone have the same issue?
