We recently implemented zoom phone for our offices and let's just say there's been plenty of issues- First one, there is no option to transfer directly to somebody's voice mailbox. I've read conflicting information online that this should be a feature... and also that "this feature may not be available on some devices". Can anybody provide some clarity about the transfer to voicemail feature? There simply is no option to transfer to voicemail at all, where there "should be". second problem, We purchased a bunch of Poly Voyager 5200 UC headsets to use with zoom phone, along with Poly VVX411 desk phones. These DO NOT interoperate. Both devices are listed on the zoom phone compatibility list. When a call is incoming, the "answer call" button on the headset simply does not work. To work for answering calls, it requires that the UC usb dongle be plugged into the computer (not the phone), however after pressing the "answer call button" on the headset, it answe
how to provision a non supported phone device model to zoom phone user. Has anyone done this before?
Hi,I have a Zoom phone plan based out of AU/NZ that has the international add-on. I have a team member based in the USA who also needs Zoom phone with an emphasis on being able to make calls in AU/NZ/USA/Canada and the UK. Do I simply need to purchase a US-based plan + international add-on for her or is there a more cost-effective way to do this? Thanks
Hi everyone, I'm looking for a way to have multiple users receive a call and whoever picks it up - they handle the call from thereon out. So far I've reviewed the following call routing methods but none fits my use case: Auto receptionistsCall queuesShared line groupsThe sticking point is that some of the "members" must be an external numbers. Does such call routing method exist in Zoom phone? In the graph below, imagine if Carly and Grant are cell phone numbers? ThanksBoyan
Hi everyone, I'm curious if anyone has figured out how to use Poly Obi 302's multiple POTS ports? I have several of these and they work just fine using LINE-1 but I see that there's another POTS port there: LINE-2 so I was curious if someone has successfully assigned an extension and/or DID to LINE-2 and if yes - how did you do it? Also any licensing implications to be aware of? Obviously to get the Obi provisioned on Zoom a device license will be used but what about the ports themselves?Thank youBoyan
I need some initial help setting things up.I know there are many great videos and articles, but none that I have found that help with my particular setup.I have been operating a small one man consulting business for about 10 years now and recently switched to Zoom Phone a few months ago and because of my inability to find answers to some of my questions, it has been impacting my business ever since I switched over to Zoom Phone. I would like to publish both a toll-free # and a toll number as my companies main office numbers on my company website. My initial purchase from Zoom included one toll-free number and two toll numbers.I also have a Poly EDGE E220 desk phone.Furthermore, I want to be able to use the Auto receptionist and IVR.I believe I would like all incoming calls to go through the auto receptionist/IVR both during and outside of normal business hours. Do I concern myself with call queues and or call groups? If I set both the toll-free number and one of the toll
Where can I access the real-time and historical location information of Zoom Phone users?
We have users that are part of our inbound call queue who occasionally get a few seconds into a call when it then drops. Following that, if the person calls us back, the person who took the original call does not see the call coming in through the queue. It doesn't happen all the time, and the person who is left off the queue is back in the queue when the next phone call comes in. Any advice?
Is there a different license SKU needed for Common Area phones in Zoom Phone, versus the standard license that gets assigned to a normal User's phone?
Our current land line numbers and local service resides with Verizon. However, we have a separate long distance carrier, who also has our 800 service. For now I was going to leave the 800 service but want to port all the other numbers to zoom phone (Pro - Unlimited US Calling). Is there something different that needs to be done in the porting process in this case?
My client was on her phone on Zoom platform. I scheduled a session on my Zoom account on the lap top. I could not see her on my lap top. I had to go on my phone to see her and i was not able to connect with the video she could hear me but could not see me. Thank you, for your help,
Hey Guys: We are looking for a solution prohibiting employees from texting someone who has opted out of a campaign. For instance, if an employee, John Davis sends an SMS to Mary Smith, and Mary then opts out; John can no longer text Mary. However, Jim Brown can text Mary again in the same campaign. It would be great if Mary opted out of John, and it opted her out for ALL other people in that campaign. Is there a setting I'm missing?
I have the zoom app installed on my cellphone. When using the dialer, and making phone calls, I can't hear the person on the other end. I can hear sounds but it cuts out every split second so I'm basically just getting a bunch of bleeps. It works fine when using zoom on my computer. I am connected to wi-fi and have about 90 mbs download and 35 upload. I tried it on only cellular and had the same issue. I tried going through my apps and uninstalling any I don't use and even deleted a few like Ring and a few others that I thought might help. I also uninstalled and reinstalled zoom along with restarting my phone. I'm lost on what to do. I'm thinking about doing a restore on my phone but thought I'd check to see if anyone else has experienced this or knows what could be causing it before jumping to that. The phone is a Samsung S22 Ultra. Thanks for the help 🙂
Helping the Needy Organization-SL
My organization records a lot of conversations with Zoom Phone, and we want to make sure these recordings are being deleted every so often off of everyone's PCs. Ideally, we'd like to have everyone save their Zoom recordings to an easy-to-access place so that this deletion process is fairly straightforward. When I go to recorded calls in the Zoom Client (three dots to the right of the call in the call log, and selecting "open file location"), they're currently being saved to an obscure, hidden folder for all members of my team that I've spoken with. Is there any way to change it so that these files save to a more easily accessed location? I've found information in the Zoom help documentation for changing where Zoom Meetings recordings save to, but not Zoom Phone recordings. Thank you so much in advance!
We presently have users with private accounts within our organization. We, as a company, are currently transitioning to Zoom as a whole. If users with private accounts transition to the company account, will their previous recordings, etc., be transferred with them?
I have one of my users who's second call to her Poly VVX350 is not ringing thru when she is on the first line talking. The second calling party gets a message "Sorry, there is no one to answer your call" and I can't seem to find where or what I need to set, to allow the second call to ring thru. Appreciate any help/input.
I want to train a new employee on how to take help desk calls, how do I stay on a meeting with them and be able to pull in the phone audio of the incoming or outgoing call? Or maybe there is feature I am missing that would make this task easier. I am currently an admin and we have Zoom One Business and Zoom Phone.
We have not made the jump to VOIP yet but considering Zoom Phone. When the office is open, we answer the calls live (No auto attendant). After x rings, if no one picks up it will go to voice mail. Non-Biz "Night ring" / "Auto Attendant" is activated and calls go to the auto attendant, where they can leave message in general mailbox, go to a particular extension etc. 1) Is there a way to do live answering vs. auto attendant Menu answering all calls, when open? 2) Is there a manual way to set when the business is open? Like via a programmed button on phone? I am thinking of times when office closed for weather or someone gets in late and no one avail to answer call(s) yet. 3) Is there a way to set a special closed message in the event of an outage, snowstorm, etc to let people know? How is that set?
I am setting up some Poly vvx250 phones for my work with Zoom accounts. I make a user, assign the user to a phone, I then set up the phone and once the phone is set up normally it will provision and we are good to go but some of them do not and I need help on how I can provision them so they can start to use them.
HiI am Business Hours 8 AM to 8 PM if any call between 1 PM to 2 PM i need lunch greeting .How to to do
Hello, I was just seeing if anyone has any input or experienced a similar issue to this and if you have found a fix.We have about 140 to 150 Cisco 8841 with the MPP firmware on it. When we switched to Zoom phone about 6 months ago our phones have been randomly rebooting. They will reboot sometimes in the morning sometimes in the afternoon, during a call, just completely random. It's not always at the same time so it's not a timeout or refresh issue with our switches or router. We have eliminated it being a switch issue since we have tried using different switches with them. We did not have the problem when those same devices had the enterprise firmware that we used with our Cisco PBX. Any insight to this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Does anyone know if Zoom Phone supports setting up a BLF line key on a desk phone with directed call pickup? I know a Shared line/Pickup group can be configured but I'd really like to keep the ability to dial out to the contact on the line key, if I use one of the aforementioned it will act as if I'm dialing out on that line when pressed instead of just dialing that line like a normal BLF key
The way delegated line keys work now on a Poly VVX deskphone is by default when the line key is pressed it initiates the ability to dial out on that line. I need it to dial that line so a normal call goes through to the lines owner on the other end, but still want to keep the ability to pick up calls that the owner of the line puts on hold. Is there any way to accomplish this?
Is there a way to show non-Zoom scheduled meeting details in the Calendar view in either the app or on a physical handset? Use case would be non-Zoom or externally scheduled meetings or calls so the user can just click on the phone number to make the call. Right now it just shows "This is not a Zoom meeting".
