Is it possible to share the desktop screen while using the whiteboard?Basically, I would like to have members write freely by hand on a whiteboard while looking at documents on the desktop screen, etc. Please let me know if there is a way to do so.
Participants are unable to annotate the whiteboard anymore. It seems like an organisational access issue, but it is just a personal account, so I don't have an organisation....In 'in meeting whiteboard' settings under 'whiteboard sharing defaults' I get the error "your admin has disabled this setting for your organisation".Any help greatly appreciated!

How can I show and work, using the OLD whiteboard with its options, instead of the new one (after the today's update)?I am a mathematics teacher and the new one looks amazing, but some of my students cannot open the NEW whiteboard - getting "Connection Error / Unable to load this whiteboard / Unknown user (s-code-7c21d2737c-1706169090482)".
I am struggling to find away to invite external guests to our organisation join us on a white board. Says our settings are set that way, I am the admin and cant work it out! Any advice please!
We are using whiteboard to brainstorm ideas and I can read the text as I type but when I click away the text turns into question marks. About 1/3 of the people collaborating are seeing the question marks. I've checked that I'm using the same version of others. I'm on Mac OS version: 13.4.1 (22F82). Any suggestions?
I tried to open up a whiteboard and it half worked. My other meeting participant could see the whiteboard while all I could see was a grey box where the whiteboard should have been. This was on my desktop. Whiteboards work fine on my laptop where I use the same account so I don't think it's an issue with the settings. I just downloaded zoom on my desktop today.
Created "Whiteboard" in a recorded Zoom meeting, and then saved a PDF version to my computer. Initially, I could click on the file within that particular meeting folder and see the textual content, but now when I click on it, it never displays the text. Has anyone else experienced this and found a way to correct the problem?
Hello, I am having a problem with the white board. I am a paid user using Zoom (Version: 5.17.2 (29988)) on Windows 11. Those who join my meetings are also using the most current version, although some of them are using windows 10. The problem is that if a whiteboard is opened by the host (me) or anyone else, only the host (me) has a menu on the left. The others just have a blank whiteboard. Then can see whatever I type or upload etc, but they have no options to do anything. They are only able to view everything I do. All others can open a whiteboard but do not have any menu. In the whiteboard settings on the web page (Settings>Whiteboard>In Meeting Whiteboards) I have everything checked as "Host and Participants". Is there some other setting I am missing? I want to set it up so everyone in the meeting can open a whiteboard and use the whiteboard to add text, images etc. Please advise Thank you
I am writing to figure out how to have my meeting attendees access the whiteboard's toolbar. It is visible on the left side of my (host) screen, but after testing with three different groups, no one can access a toolbar. It makes it impossible to collaborate (and I did select that option as opposed to 'presentation' mode). How can participant's see/access the editing tools for the whiteboard??? I have updated my Zoom version and looked in the support/help articles. I found one thread with a similar issue but no specific answer for finding the toolbar (only docking it). Thank you in advance! Robin
Danke im Vorraus Hi,I need help. Whenever I try to invite someone to a whiteboard, it always says, "I have disabled collaboration with users outside the organization." How do I activate this? Also, when I'm in a meeting with someone, they are unable to write on the whiteboard. This has only started happening recently.I hope someone can assist me.Thanks in advance.
I'm a self-employed English tutor and I want to allow my students access to whiteboards after the Zoom, but it says that the administrator (me?) has "disabled collaboration with users outside your organization". I saw someone else's post about something similar, but I'm still unable to fix this. Would love some help please!
Can anyone help me with Whiteboard Collaboration? I want to use Zoom whiteboard to teach my online lessons but I cannot work out how to give participants 'edit' access. I've tried by opening the whiteboard in the meeting and checking the 'allow users to collaborate' box but the participant either gets an error message or the whiteboard opens as view only. It's really frustrating as I assume that collaboration is the whole point of the whiteboard?! I'd like my students to be able to write onto it. When I go into my settings the 'whiteboard sharing default' has the access level set to 'viewer' with 'commenter' and 'editor' greyed out. Please help me!!!!
Hello, I am trying to import a simple small PNG into the whiteboard. The instructions on how to do that (https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0058482) say to use the upload icon which does not show and if it does not show to have the admin enable that feature This feature is, however, enabled in my account (screenshot here:) settings. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/aq1466jbworz0bxvilcgm/PastedGraphic-1.png?rlkey=rm07bnw00hbkq0hqmpzhvgr0d&dl=0 I still do not see the upload icon in my editing tools, however (screenshot).https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/e4x48khaxjqn7qlb86r8q/PastedGraphic-2.png?rlkey=4dou8hzonnvkcx2f16qdkbv7r&dl=0 If I use copy/paste, it would only allow text, but not a PNG. I am a music educator and am looking for musical notation, the music template offered does not show near the elements I need, but it would work if I could add my own icons. Thanks for your help!Ariane
Dear Community, I have been facing this issue for two weeks. All the whiteboards I created were deleted. I recovered some of them, but they were deleted repeatedly. I have updated the Zoom version, as well as my credentials, but the issue persists. What could be the reason? Thank you for your help and time.
While in meeting with colleagues I will use the annotation tool to markup drawings and the pencil defaults to the largest size that takes up the entire window. I manually minimize it every time, but it takes a while to minimize to the smallest size from the largest. I do not use any key shortcuts while using Zoom. It has been time consuming and a little embarrassing to have happen in my meetings with clients.
We are wanting to use Zoom Whiteboards in our online classes and we are hoping that a link from a whiteboard template will create a separate whiteboard for every user and not one where they all collaborate in the same space. Is that possible? We don't want to have to share individually to each student with over 600 students with multiple classes.
Whiteboard worked fine last week - all those in the meeting could edit the active whiteboard. This morning, only I can (as the owner). I opened it as usual in "collaborating" mode. I've tried creating a new whiteboard. Again, other participants can only view it, but can't collaborate. I checked to see if there was a Zoom update available. There was, and I installed it. Still have the problem. Help! I need to have this working for a convention next week!
I would like to get refund for my whiteboard subscription. I did not intend to subscribe whiteboard when I pay for my professional version of Zoom! But your layout makes whiteboard subscription as default!
I am using whiteboards for many of my zoom sessions and wanted to replace jamboards however when I try to create a 4th whiteboard it tells me I can only have 3 editable whiteboards at a time and need to upgrade, however a colleague has the same payment plan and has 14! Am I doing something wrong?
I have a group of nine on Zoom. We use the Whiteboard each week; all of sudden they cannot type on the board, just me as I am the originator. Any suggestions?
With the latest update of Zoom, I am finding it hard to switch between colours when writing on the Whiteboard. In its previous iteration, I could click on the Pen icon, and it would bring up all the default colours. With this latest iteration, even though I have more colours available, I cannot switch as easily. When I select a colour for the Pen, it remains 'locked' or 'greyed out', and the only way for me to change the colour is to click on another tool (like the symbols tool), then click on the Pen icon again, then choose a new colour. Each time I want to change the colour of the Pen, I have to click on another icon, then re-click on the Pen icon to choose the new colour - making the process of writing on the whiteboard twice as long. Anyone else experienced this issue, and found a solution?
Hello, I have the pro account and know I have 3 editable whiteboards. How do I refresh those 3 credits? annually? or do I need to erase one of them to be able to edit another one? How does these 3 editable whitboards credits work? Many thanks in advance,Ani
I am struggling with the updates to Zoom that happened yesterday. I have a PC and use the whiteboard all the time. The new toolbar is now located on the left side. My first issue is that I cant seem to drag it any where else.Secondly, when I click on the pencil, the option box appears. But the box will not go away. It should disappear when i start drawing but it doesn't. I stopped the "share" and the option box was still on my screen over top of a web page. The only way I could get it to go away was to end the meeting. Also the eraser is SUPER SENSITIVE. I go to erase something and other items disappear. This is really annoying. I then have to redraw the parts that disappear. Very unprofessional when working with a client. Please fix the eraser issues! I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to submit a ticket. I have the $15.99/month plan so I can't talk to a live representative. If its true that I can submit a ticket, then make it easier to find how to do s
