My company have enabled "Advanced Chat Encryption" for our Zoom messages. This adds a little 'lock' symbol above the message field that says:"Chat content is Advanced Chat Encrypted. However, this chat's metadata (such as the chat's name and chat members' names) will still be viewable or editable by account owner, account admins, and others designated by the account owner."This pop-up comes up every single time your mouse cursor passes the icon. This is extremely frustrating as I have multiple monitors set up, with Zoom on my right-most monitor, and my cursor very frequently passes this icon. Every time I go to write a message, or move my cursor away from that location, the pop-up message appears. The issue is that it does not dissapear unless you click elsewhere in the Zoom window. As per the image attached, you can see that the pop-up covers a large portion of the text in the chat window, which means that if I move my cursor away from Zoom and pass the icon without realisin

I have created a free account (with CC verified) and added 59 users. I have also activated all 59 accounts. I'm unable to see them under company contacts list. (company contacts did show up a couple of times last week, but 99% of the time, the entire internal contacts section is missing) I have tried on different computers, mobile phones, etc and it's the same.  When I try to invite one of these 59 people (invite a zoom user to connect button) - it says xxxx is already your contact

Hi zoom, I have a suggestion. Can you please add profile pictures to group chats. Because all other texting platforms have it, and it really helps me organise my groups. As I use team chat for my daily basis. I would like to see if its possible. Thank you.

My employer just replaced my laptop but now all of my work-related zoom chats are no longer available even though my zoom account did not change.  Is there a way to transfer all of the prior chats from my old laptop to the new one? Thanks

Hi, i can see that the Left side bar is a fixed feature and currently no way to turn it off. My question is this: Can this be made an optional feature, ie let the user decide if they want to use it or not. Have the ability to turn it off or revert to how it was before this feature was updated.

I have seen multiple unresolved tickets on this manner dating back several months now, and am posting to see if Zoom Support or any community champions out there might have any updates on it. This issue affects myself and many random users throughout my company.  Basically, in Team Chat settings, we have "Play sound when I receive a new message" checked, as well as other settings like Push Notifications being set to "All messages", and nothing else being muted.  Yet users don't get a sound when they receive a new chat, whether Zoom is the active window or not. I've ensured in all cases that a working audio device (internal speakers or otherwise) was set as the default audio device, both in Zoom and in Windows sound settings.  And I've checked Windows Sound Mixer to ensure the Zoom app itself wasn't turned down.  Sometimes simply re-installing Zoom for an affected user does the trick, but mostly it does not. We all use Dell Latitude laptops, with some

Since yesterday, the contacts of the organization in the application have disappeared from all users of the company. Someone has the latest versions of Zoom, and today they disappeared on all versions of ZOOM after restarting.

Hi, I'm new to zoom. I have created a FREE company account (with CC verified) and added multiple users. (Admin->User management->users) and activated their accounts.  When I log in to my account, most of the times, I cannot see the company contacts list. It does show up sometimes, but it's not there 90% of the time. I have checked on multiple devices and it's the same for all the users I added. (added the users 24 hours ago) I can see them in my chats, I can also see them if I star them (under the starred contacts list). Hi, I'm fairly new to using Zoom and I was wondering if anyone can help me with a problem? When I send a time in my link the time that the person receives is not the same time. My time zone is the same but she still is receiving a differnet time as I intended for her to have. Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions for me?

I'm looking to find a way to setup an audio alert, on my computer not my phone, when a Zoom contact calls.  Skype has this feature and it is very useful.  I can hear the ringing and quickly go to my computer to 'pickup'.  Can't do that with Zoom or at least I can't find a way to setup such a feature.  Is it possible?  Thank you for any help you can provide.  I'm obviously a recent transfer from Skype to Zoom as a result of Skype being discontinued in May 2025.

Hi all, I am on the free subscription and over the weekend two channel chats I've been using for a year have disappeared, there is no more access or chat history  Did anyone else run into this or know if there is a fix for this? Cheers,

I am getting the message below     Meetings have under 40 participants - not large   Have not gotten this previously   Anyone else experiencing?     Any solutions? Messages addressed to meeting group chat will also appear in the meeting group chat in Team ChatDue to the large number of participants in this meeting system messages for those who joined or left have been disabled  

I am using zoom in my Chrome  browser and when I try following the chat log it goes up and down. It makes it very hard to track where I was left off and what new entries are.  

In v5.10.0 of Zoom, a feature was added "Folders for grouping chats and channels".  This is a great feature and I took to it right away organizing people into folders.  However, if you do this, and then try to access those contacts on your mobile device, the folders and the contacts do not show up.  The only way to get someone to show up on the mobile device is to "star" them.  Is there a plan to update the mobile app to include these folders?  If I star someone on the mobile app that is already in a folder on the desktop, they stay in the folder on the desktop and there is a choice to "unstar" them.  This is not a good alternative.

At some point early in my meeting today, either I or this other person sent a direct message which has started a chain reaction. Now every time I try to talk in chat I send a direct message to him and vice versa. Each time this happens, it doesn't matter that we've switched to the main Meeting group chat, the system automatically switches us back. We keep trying to break the chain but one or the other of us manages to miss that we last received a direct chat. If you're thinking this is easy to resolve, under normal circumstances that would be true but this is an active class with constant chatting going on from nearly 50 people. There's supposed to be a block option but it's missing from the menu in our direct chat. I'd like to know if there's a way for me as a user to set the Meeting group chat as the default channel which would stop me from responding to this person's direct chats. I operate an online school. During classes, students are 'adding' each other and then creating group chats on Team Chats, and chatting during lessons. Is there a way to disable the Team Chats feature altogether, and/or prevent them from adding each other?

I find the sidebar in the team chat hard to see. The default theme ("dark") is a black background with a medium grey font color. There is not enough contrast. In Settings > Team Chat I know that I can change the sidebar theme to "light". But they you get a light background with the same medium grey font color. There is still not enough contrast to make it much better.  It would be better if the "dark" sidebar theme had a white font color, and the "light" sidebar theme had a black font color. That would provide sufficient contrast to help. Seems like a simple fix. The chat window itself already has good contrast with a light background (light blue or light grey) and a black font color. 

Clicking the typing cursor in the text field to reply to another message makes the whole list of the chat jump to the past posts. This is on an iMac with Sequoia 15.2. Any possible solution will be highly appreciated. Thank you.
