Chat

I posed a problem last week. I received an email saying that I got a solution, but how do I get to the solution?

We had a weird situation today where one of our team members typed a phone number into the chat and three of the four people on the call got it correctly while the fourth person got one SCRAMBLED!  If the number was (123) 456-7890 what showed up on their screen was (123) 890-4567 !!!!?!?!

I am using Zoom to contact a client. I am polish speaking person, so my primary keyboard settings on my OS is set to polish. But i am using english to communicate with client. Zoom is autocorrecting some of my words when i am using english into polish similar one, eg. them -> tchem (which is correct polish word), finish -> finisz (same as before) and some other. Its annoying, and it happens all the time. I was looking for some setting for it, but there is none or i am literally blind. And it happens only in Zoom, no other app and i tend to use mixed languages everywhere, not only Zoom. Is there a way to force Zoom to use english or disable this autocorrect completely?

I have created a zoom team chat app in zoom market place. now i want to retrieve previous 5 messages of a group chat or individual chat via api.for sending chat i am using the below urlhttps://api.zoom.us/v2/im/chat/messages.similary iw ant an api to get the messages which i did not fund in any of the documents. please help

I can see JPG and MP4 file types in line with a chat, but not MOV, PDF or DOC file types which have to be downloaded to view. Is there a list of file types that can be viewed without downloading them?

I have a CSV file containing multiple-choice questions structured as: Question, Answer 1, Answer 2, Answer 3. I would like to import them into Zoom Polls. Is there a way to do this?

In a Zoom meeting on the desktop app... 1) I was the host2) There were 3 participants (me + 2)3) The selection "group chat & anyone directly" was selected' BUT4) There was no drop down menu to select a direct message recipient5) The "more" icon (...) was missing from the bottom menu bar in the chat panel HOW DO I REINSTATE THE ABILITY TO DO DIRECT CHAT????

So Wierd - I got on Zoom yesterday and all of a suddon, It is Ready OUTLOUD Every Message in the Chat while I am Live on Zoom. Not sure Why/How this started, but cannot find anywhere to get it to stop. I cannot hear the regular zoom because of this - nor can I personally go live because everyone can hear it too. Also, How do I get help from Zoom to stop this. Frustrating there is no one to ask, chat, email etc for resolution.Help! 😉

We are facilitating Zoom meetings with over 100 people. We want the Chat to automatically scroll to the bottom of the Chat or to the most recent post as it has done in the past. Today, we had 190 people, so the chat was filling up quickly and we couldn't find recent chats.  Scrolling down through hundreds of posts made it absolutely impossible to see them all. How can we correct this?

Hello Zoom Team and Community,My name is Gabriel Siarivita, and I’m an eligible BYU-Pathway student from Papua New Guinea. I’ve been learning how to use Zoom Workplace and Zoom AI Companion, and I’m very interested in developing real skills and opportunities through this platform.I would love to know if there are any remote job training, student work opportunities, or community-based internships where I can contribute and grow within Zoom or its partner programs like Spero AI.I’m motivated, curious, and committed to learning. Thank you for creating a space for us to connect and grow — if anyone has guidance, I’d be grateful to hear it!— GabSari58

Has anyone found an automated way to export past team chats to analyze activity. I am trying to gain insights into who is asking about what topics and frequency of similar inquiries, over an extended period of time, not just a day or a week, but rather a month or more. Currently I copy and paste into ChatGPT to perform this deep level of analysis since AI Companion cannot perform this level of analysis. It is very time consuming and looking for a better way..

I used to just tell my students: message me, and only me (not use group chat) during a lecture. then after the meeting is done, I see all of the chat messages in the (lokaly recorded) saved text file. Now with the new Chat Funktion: where can i see (after the meeting is over) all of the private messages my students wrote to me?

Curious 👀 how do I add an app or something or someone that is not external to a public group chat/channel

I know that Zoom has the poll option for the meetings, but I cannot seem to find out how to make a poll in the group chats. Does Zoom have a Chat/Poll option and if so, how to I use it? If it doesn't, is there 3rd party polling platform that works well with Zoom chat?

When we disable a user account in Active Directory, Zoom will display an obvious "DEACTIVATED" symbol next to the user's name in Zoom Workplace.  This has been problematic when we've disabled access due to a termination.  Other users are sometimes seeing this status as the first indicator that someone is no longer with the company before they it is appropriate for them to be aware.  I'd like to find a way to opt out of Zoom showing this user status if possible.  Changing the appearance of their name, such as italicizing seems like it would be a better user experience for perception VS the current platform method to indicate an account is disabled.   We've also ran into this issue when someone is on a temporary leave of absence and their account is disabled as a precaution while they are away.  This sometimes gets interpreted as the user is no longer with the company in these situations as well.

Hello, I am part of a basic plan for a small group. I've been added to a team chat channel and can see that there are unread notifications. However, when I access the channel through the webapp (on Firefox and Chrome), I cannot see the channel nor can I search for the channel. Am I doing something wrong or does the person who set up the channel need to re-add me? Thank you!

It used to automatically change my status to away when I locked my PC.  Now it's not doing that and it has to wait for the inactivity time. I don't want it to do that because sometimes I'm at my PC having a discussion with someone so don't want it to go to away status.  I want it to turn to away like it did before.  How do I change that back?

Hi, I tried to find articles related to this. I know that Zoom provided Zapier Integration that allows it to listen to Team Chat. However, I can’t make it work. I already specified the trigger and the channel to listen but the test records keep on showing test payload. We already tested both private and public channel, new mentions, etc. Nothing works as I can’t find sample of real message.  Anyone knows the fix or maybe has encountered same issues?Thank you so much for the help.

Copy doesn't work in chat!

Hey guys. Has anyone managed to find a solution to the issue with the new chat functionality since the recent update? I teach 25-30 children and its not practical to press on EACH tab to view their comments every single time. Obviously put together by a developer who only has 1-2 people in his zoom meetings.  There was a solution given in another thread about pressing a 'disable group chat' option but i cant view it on my web log in, nor could many other people in the thread.  This is another issue i am having with zoom - many responses from their customer care team is copied and pasted but not checked to see if its still relevant. This is the 3rd time a 'fix' has been given that is obviuosly taken from a previous version. They need to pull up their socks. Their staff also need to wake up. Last week i spoke to some guy called Rodel who told me the chat box had NOT been changed and its always been like this. I have been using this for 5 years now and this guy is telling m

I have been using my MacBook when I have been working remotely, but I just transitioned to my Chromebook last week. I was able to use the zoom Chromebook app with no issues last week. But when I logged into zoom this week, I am having issues viewing messages fromgroup chats and messages I would send in group chats would fail.Previous messages sent on zoom in group chats would say"To view this message, please use your ACE-enabled client"  However, I am able to send and receive messages from individuals. Any help would be great. My work IT wasn’t so much help. thank you !!!
