Hi!    I am exploring ways to enhance mass emergency notifications. In addition to using other methods, such as mass text or phone call, the case study here would be to enhance the current capabilities and hit employees via Zoom (chat or call) during really big and bad things, like an active shooter scenario or significant internal application or infrastructure outage. Perhaps a way to post a banner to active meetings? This could even be for non-emergency messages, like HR to post messages "hey, reminder to sign up for benefits"   Is anyone familiar with a way to send a message to all within the organization, or post a zoom banner/ alert for others to see?     Thanks!     

I have the zoom app running on my samsung s22 plus, android version 14.  All of a sudden, with some update perhaps, I am no longer seeing messages on team chat or some calls unless I open the app, then I see i've got unread messages and/or missed calls.  This is particularly true when the app hasn't received messages throughout the evening.  After opening the app, i'll get message notifications ,etc. but it seems to time out after a period.  Suggestions?  

Recently one of our employees left and their account was removed from Zoom. They no longer appear under User Management. However, they still appeared in Channels and Group Chats. I was able to remove them from the Channels through the Team Chat Management -> Channels by adding myself as a channel admin. However, I do not see a similar mechanism for Group Chats. I am a full admin on out Zoom account. Does anyone have any ideas on both why the user was not removed from all of the channels and group chats, and how to remove the user from group chats that they are members of? Thanks, Andy

Hi everyone I am a teacher and I do a lot of online classes. I find it useful to send my students a copy of the Zoom chat at the end of each class by email. The chats are automatically saved into a folder in Windows 11 when I finish each session, as a .txt file. Here's the thing: When I am using the chat in the session, I can edit the text to include (for example) bold text, italics, and crossings out. But when the text file is saved, all those rich text aspects disappear. This is frustrating. Does anyone know how to make Zoom save the chat files in (for example) .docx format instead of .txt so that the rich text is preserved? Thanks!

Looking to see if there is anyway to revert the latest version of zoom to use the same messaging process as previous. Specifically, if there was a group chat going on in Team Chat and you wanted to add a comment , you hover over the ballon and type a reply.  It then placed your new message right under the original message so you could see the continuity. Now adding this message places it at the bottom of the chat thread and you lose the reference.  I am either missing something or this was a bad change decision.   thank you

I have my chat sound notification box enabled but still do not hear any sounds when someone chats in zoom.  Here is a screenshot of my settings.  All other chimes and notifications are working - like when someone enters or leaves a meeting.   

Hi,I would like to know if from a web directory that includes all the people in my organization, if it is possible by clicking on a person automatically launch the Zoom client and start a discussion with this person.Thk.

In the Windows Zoom client, on the left, I see "recent" chats. This seems to include chats with people, established channels we have at work, and meeting chats. Is there a way to sort these or separate them? Can I age them out? Change how they are sorted? The list is long and cluttered.  Maybe even separate out meeting chats from others? 

Can someone please tell me how I can chat on zoom online? The app got deleted by my school and I’m kinda mad about that because I have friends from other schools and I didn’t get the chance to tell them my zoom is getting deleted by my school.

All of my company is on a local server, how are we able to share hyperlinks on our group chats to a location on the server. I know I can post the file location as text like "X:\Projects\ExampleProject\Files To Client" but I want to be able to have them generate a hyperlink that goes right to that location on the server.

Is there a way to remove the addition of a hyperlink to numbers that are just plain text? Zoom interprets all series of numbers as a phone number, regardless of their length or formatting. For example, a FedEx tracking number is 12 digits but it will add a hyperlink to the first 9 characters but not the last 3, regardless of whether the numbers are stuck together or separated with spaces or dashes.  

I am LOVING how I can access Team Chat, my Gmail Calendar, and Gmail all in the Zoom Client! I haven't needed to open a web browser in weeks. Super helpful! If you have not already updated and integrated your email and calendar with your Zoom client, ping me and I'll show you how!  😀🎉

Hi can anyone help with the problem I have in zoom when trying to type the minutes. As soon as I start typing I get static interference and cannot hear amything!! I have checked noise supression which is on auto. Any ideas? Thanks

Within contacts there is a Directory portion. I have a company Contacts list under Directory. How can I add contacts to this directory group?thanks in advance..ebonc

How to delete a chat message.

Hi!  I have all of the basic chat settings on for our account but not able to save the chats or take screenshots of them.  For some reason when I am hosting a zoom I can see the chat feature on the host panel, but the attendees do not see the chat option.  And if I send them a chat direct message they do not receive it.  What is going on? What setting could I have missed or do they need to do something on their ends?  Thanks!  

Hello,The instructions on Zoom help page is not clear. How can I translate Chat messages to Spanish? I use Zoom to teach English to Spanish-speaking clients, and sometimes they need a translation of chat messages. How can I configure this so they can do this in our Zoom Chat box?

Help!I closed a zoom meeting and forgot to save the chat box which had important information in it. Is there any way to get it back? I was the host. Thank you in advance Daniel

I see settings for when to receive notifications and whether to play a sound, but I don't see a setting to change what that sound is.  Right now it's just the generic system notification sound, but I'd like to change it to be something distinctive.

Hello everyone, maybe y'all got a quick answer for me. I've recently seen the Zoom client start sorting chat messages by the last responses. So if someone answers to a message that isn't the last one, it pushes that message plus all its responses down, breaking the message flow. Anyone know how to turn this off? Regards

Dear Community,unfortunately Zoom is not able to decrypt messages form an external contact person. The message shown is (the system has german language) "[Dies ist eine verschlüsselte Nachricht]", (translated) "[This is an encrypted message]".A red exclemation mark ist shown right next to it. Klicking on it shows the following Message (the system has german language) "Die Nachricht wird entschlüsselt, wenn der Entschlüsselungsschlüssel erhältlich ist", (translated) "The message is decrypted when the decryption key is available".The external contact is not within the same domain but the contact request was accepted form both sides and and the status can be seen.Does anyone know how to solve this issue and let zoom decrypt the messages in the future? Any hints are highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

How do I restrict my Zoom channel members from seeing each others profile? I want my channel members to interact with each other in Team Chat on the channel they are members of, but I do not want any of them to be able to contact each other via email or phone. The problem is that channel members can click on the (...) and find each others contact details like phone number and email address - how do I prevent that? Please help!

Is Team Chat not a feature of the Apple Vision Pro edition? I realize there is chat within the meetings, but my company uses the Team Chat module all day as our company chat program outside of meetings. Is this a feature you are planning to add? Or is it in there and I'm just not seeing it?
