AI Companion

I used to love the meeting summaries.  As a paid member, I introduced multiple companies to and suggested zoom as our video conferencing app, almost entirely for the AI's video recordings and meeting summaries. What I loved about the summaries: 1. Easy to read and understand2. Easy to edit (by browser) and share (by email) Now they seem: 1. Incredibly difficult to edit (by browser) or share2. Difficult to understand  I'm a tech savvy guy.  Anyone on this forum is.  But what I liked about the old version was that it was easy for our non-tech savvy coworkers and clients to understand as well.  Now the editor has tons of links and icons, and the share button only sends viewers to a link so they can log in to zoom docs.  Once a client or coworker sees that they need to login, they balk and ask me to send them a .doc or pdf or email.  And then, good luck trying to figure out how to export the summary from zoom docs. I get it.

I had a meeting scheduled by the other person.  They agreed for me to take notes, I pushed the AI button which they approved however I did not record the meeting.   Were no notes recorded because I did not record the meeting?  If it was recorded, I can't seem to access the notes.   Thank you

Hello, I'm Josh Stanley, a Senior AI Specialist at Zoom.  Please feel free to reply and even at mention me with your questions on Zoom AI Companion Use Cases.  In this short video (6 mins) I show an example of using AI Companion with direct reports, mentees, students, etc... that are in need of skills or performance development.    By leveraging Zoom AI Companion, you can compare their existing job description against the job description for their future desired role to identify the skills gap.  Add in annual performance reviews as context to help make the development plan even more valuable by tailoring the output further to the user by capturing not only skills but performance gaps as well. 

If I enable Meeting Summary with AI Companion, how can I also enable Smart Recording with AI Companion at the same time? I love the meeting summaries, but I also want to access the full transcript (With the Smart Recording features) but I can't find a way to do that, I can only pick one or the other. Any ideas?

Hi,I've both Admin and Owner access to my agency's zoom company portal.We have Zoom One Business licenses, which should meet the prerequisite to use the feature.I'm trying to enable Zoom AI Companion so we can try out Meeting Summary, but I do not see the option in Account Setting.I would greatly appreciate it if someone can assist me in this.Thanks. 

How can I retrieve the meeting notes from an expired meeting, it expired 12 days ago. HELP!!

we use outlook and i always on behalf of my boss to set up meeting, but my boss can't use AI companion if i don't join in the meeting. some meetings are confidencial that i won't take part in, my boss can't use Ai, it's very inconvient for us

At the start of a meeting, I accepted the AI into the room. Then a notification announced that the recording had been started. So I didn't start the recording myself as usual. But at the end of the meeting, I can't find the recording anywhere. I know where I can usually find the recording in the cloud or on my computer. My question is about how to find recordings made by AI.After some research, I've learned that the AI is indeed supposed to make a small recording”. Where is this recording?

I have enabled the AI Meeting summary and it did not work.  At first I thought I just couldn't find the summaries but I did locate the folder and there is no summary there.

As the account owner, I should be able to remove / minimize the rather blatant advertisement of AI Companion on the home screen. I do not use that that feature and certainly don't appreciate the "in your face" advertisement.

My team uses Zoom for as many meetings as possible, but as a consulting company we cannot always choose the meeting platform. We need the ability to add our AI Companion to meetings that we do not and cannot manage. A bot that we can add to MS Teams, GoTo and Google meetings, similar to the dedicated note taking AI apps like Fireflies, Read, and Otter, would save our team from turning to a competing solution for meeting summaries and action items.  If this is available, please let me know how I can enable the feature.Thank you.

My meeting summaries have stopped, last I could find in email and in zoom in the online environment are from end of Jan.  Do I have to change a setting or other?  Help!

It seems that from the proncuciation of this person's name and because their username combines their first and last name together, AI Companion has added a -le at the end of his name and uses she, her pronouns for him in the summary. Is there anyway to correct this in the meeting settings or to do a quick "find and replace" edit in Zoom docs?

Hi everyone, I help an advisor during meetings, and he uses Zoom AI Companion for every zoom meeting. Normally the summary is delivered to him, but the last couple of times Zoom AI has just not summarized anything at all from the meeting. Does anyone know what the problem might be here? Thanks,

All my meetings have the same topic in Zoom.  I am unable to edit the meeting topics.  Therefore unable to find a specific meeting without searching forever.  The suggested solution of editing the topic on the Meeting Summary page does not work. HELP!! 

How do I get the summary to write in British English with British spelling and not US spellings please?

To view your summary, check the Zoom bot after your call. To disable AI Meeting Summaries, contact your admin to turn it off.We have gathered some assets from your meeting earlier.”⸻However, Zoom AI Companion is turned off at the account level in the Zoom admin portal, as we do not allow Zoom AI to access or process our data.When I run /zoom config in Slack, I don’t see any option to disable these summaries either.Do you know how to stop this message from appearing?Thanks in advance!

I've turned on all the settings, set for auto-on, but no matter what I do, for every single meeting, I get the reminder to turn on the AI Companion and have to click the button. I just want it on, no request. Is this possible?

As a long-time devotee of note-taking, I'm loving the AI Meeting Summaries feature, but the AI could be doing a much better job at writing. If it were a truly chat-based AI, I'd be able to simply tell it what to change, and hopefully it would learn from my preferences for future session – but I'm not seeing that capability. (Can Zoom confirm this?) Are there any hidden settings to tweak the AI's note-taking skills? A few pet peeves:Names are shown as last-name followed by a non-grammatical comma. Better guideline would be first+last name on first mention, first name only on subsequent mentions IF only one user has that first name – and lose the superfluous comma.Most calls include some pre-agenda social chatter that really doesn't need to be summarized for the record. Hello Zoom Team,I would like to suggest a new feature to enhance meeting inclusivity and communication.Many users have names that are frequently mispronounced, which can create awkward or uncomfortable moments and hinder effective communication. To address this, when a user creates a Zoom account or manages their profile, they could type a phonetic breakdown of their name or upload a recording of how it is pronounced. Then, during meetings, participants could simply hover over a person’s name in the participant list or chat to see the phonetic spelling or hear the audio pronunciation. This feature would make it easy for everyone to learn and say names correctly without interrupting the meeting flow and would foster respectful communication, especially for users with unique or non-English names. Thank you for considering this suggestion. I believe it would be a valuable addition to the Zoom AI Companion or Zoom Meetings product areas.
